Dictation
Physicians speak into a handheld digital recorder and/or use a 1-800
number to call in dictation.
At the end of the day, the recorder is plugged into an office computer
(the “base station”) for about fifteen seconds, in order
to send the dictations to our system or also through FTP.
The procedure is automatic; no keystrokes are required. Viewing/Printing

physician, patient name, and date of visit;
if you have chosen lab and radiology support, those results are also
accessible in patient folders.
New notes can optionally be printed automatically. Word files are
stored permanently for easy future reference. • Home:
Patient records are sorted by physician, patient name, and date of
visit on your computer at home. Notes can be printed or edited. There
is no need to log on the Internet to view old patient records; log
on only to get new patient records (since the last time you logged
on). |
