How to apply for home based work
• Write in to us at the above mentioned email address with a detailed copy of your resume.
• After reviewing your profile, you will be sent test files.
• You have to transcribe / edit the files and send it back to us in the stipulated time.
• Your test performace will be evaluated by our QA team & if you clear the test, you will be required to undergo an orientation process of one month at our facility in Ahmedabad after which you can start working from home. You will be provided bachelor's accommodation on a shared basis during this period.


Transcription rates
First 15,000 lines in a month - 80 paise per line
All lines above 15,000 lines in a month - Re. 1 per line

Editing (Proofing) rates
First 30,000 lines in a month - 60 paise per line
All lines above 30,000 lines in a month - 75 paise per line

Direct work rates
For files which are transcribed & ready for direct upload to the client - Rs. 1.50 per line

Q: What will the test consist of?
A: The test will consist of audio files of about 15 minutes' duration for transcription. The in house test will be similar too.

Q: If I opt to do editing (proofing), will I still need to transcribe?
A: Yes, depending on the workflow requirement, you may have to transcribe on certain occasions although this will be restricted to a minimum.

Q: Do I need to be connected on the net continuously when I work?
A: You will need to be online throughout the time you work. The reason for this being that as you are working on your first file, the second and third file will be downloaded onto your computer in the background. As you would complete a file, you would need to upload the file and work on the next file. For this reason, you would need to be online constantly.

Q: What is the accuracy expected from me?
A: Since your work would be directly uploaded to the client, you are expected to deliver a minimum of 99% accuracy. You will be penalized 10 paise per line for all the lines during the month if the random check accuracy is between 98% and 99%. The contract stands terminated if the average monthly accuracy falls below 98%. Random check accuracy is the accuracy for the files which are audited only and the entire day/month's line count is not considered for calculating accuracy.

Q: Do I need to have any special device for home based work apart from my computer, foot pedal, and internet connection?
A: Yes, you need to have a regular game port foot pedal. If need be, the company can help in procuring the converter, which approximately costs Rupees One Hundred and Fifteen only (Rs.115).

Q: Will there be any tax deduction on my payments?
A: Yes, 5.2 % of the amount payable to you will be deducted by us before making payment towards income tax deductible for professional charges. However, you can claim file your annual tax returns and claim this tax back from the government.

Q: Do we get feedback on our work?
A: Yes, you will get online feedback of the corrections made to your reports.

Q: I am presently working with another MT company, and I can spend only a few hours per day. Is it okay?
A: As long as you can spend anything equal to or more than 3 hours, it works out just fine for us.

Q: I work in shifts in my company, which means my work timings keep changing. This means I will not be able to work at the same time for your company. Is this okay?
A: That is not a problem.

Q: Will I get work round the clock?
A: Usually, you do get.

Q: What are the worktypes that I will have to work on?
A: We basically work for hospitals. Hence, you will be exposed to almost all general worktypes.

Q: Will I get to work on a single client/account?
A: Yes, you will be working on a single client although there will be different accounts within that client.

Q: Should I execute a minimum line count everyday?
A: Yes, we have an understanding as to how many lines we can rely on you for so that the rest of the work can be distributed to others or alternative plans can be made to execute the remaining work.

Q: Do you have any preferred timings for me to work?
A: Before you begin live production work for us, we will finalize a general range of time within which you will be required to work.

Q: Will I need to have all the reference materials/CDs?
A: That is not required since the company will provide you with all the reference materials/CDs.

Q: What is the mode of payment from you?
A: You will generally be paid before 10th of every month for the previous month's work. You will need to open a salary account with our bank where your salary will be directly credited

Q: Do I need to pay any security deposit if I am selected before starting work?
A: No, nothing.

Q: I am unable to procure a foot pedal through market. Can you help me?
A: Yes, we can assist you in purchase of a footpedal, which costs Rupees Sixteen Hundred only (Rs.1600) payable through DD (only) drawn in the name of “Saral Software Solutions Private Limited” payable at Ahmedabad.

Q: Do I need to have any software to work for you?
A: No, we provide the software. However, you would need a computer with the following specifications:
